Building Boats That Satisfy

Long term quality and value for your money

Why Hann?
Engineering is why!

Thank you for taking the time to visit Hann Powerboats.  We build boats that satisfy!  Our satisfied customers include the United States Air Force, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the United States Navy, and numerous private customers.  Our trademarked, efficient and fast hull design has allowed us to break new ground in speed and efficiency with large, hi-load vessels.  For example, we achieve 68 MPH (59 knots) with only 960 HP and 16,000 lbs. displacement.  We would like to point out a few of our strengths:

1)    We have incorporated the Hann bottom surface into the Peacemaker craft design.  This results in a faster, more efficient surface.  The wide lifting strakes provide much needed lift without the drag caused by a wider beam.

2)    We use Arneson Surface Drives for propulsion.  We have thousands of documented hours of operation with surfacing piercing propellers without a drive or propeller failure.  This experience ensures your vessels are not only fast and efficient, but reliable.  The surface piercing propellers virtually eliminate all drag from hubs, shafts and struts, resulting in a 5 to 10% increase in speed over traditional propulsion.

3)    All of our parts are fabricated using the most modern equipment, resulting in the best fit possible and allowing for quicker assembly of the vessels.  We have the capability to perform turret, laser, plasma and Oxy-fuel cutting.  We are also able to perform forming, saw cutting, and machining.

4)    We have a proven record of success.  From delivering our first prototype vessel, and continuing through contract delivery on our multiple award schedules, all of our vessels have been delivered on time and on budget.  When other companies in our industry have had to close their doors, we have been growing, and were recently awarded an Economic Development Grant by Manatee County, FL.  This proves our commitment to our customers and to our business plan. It demonstrates that we will be able to stand behind our product should the need ever arise.

Again, thank you for taking the time to visit Hann Powerboats; we look forward to doing business together!

Hann's trademarked hull design reflects the engineering detail and attention required to produce a stable, fast, and efficient boat. Sea states vary throughout the day. Your Hann boat is designed to handle those changes. Knowing you have the speed, tracking, and maneuverability to handle rough water and get home is important to you and your family.

Whether you own a Hann 18 or a Hann 50, your boat has the built-in engineering to provide a solid ride when you handle your boat in a seamanlike fashion. While our boats can handle extremes, it takes training and experience to drive in the harshest of conditions. Get home fast, and be safe.

A new hull is lifted from the Hann 50 mold. Stringers and bulkheads will be added. All the below deck plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment work will be added.

The deck (picture below) will be attached. Note, the deck picture is the deck being built upside-down. You see the first outer layer of gelcoat. Layers of fiberglass, coring, mat, and resins are added on top of the gelcoat as we build toward the inside of the boat.

With the deck bonded to the hull, all the finish work will be completed. In just a few more weeks, with a lot of hard work, a new Hann 50 Center Console will be on the water generating fun and excitement for another family.

If this were your boat, you could have watched this process via a scheduled Internet hook-up.
Performance comes from Engineering

Observe the movement of each of these boats as they move through a series of waves at approximately the same speed. Carefully observe the movement of the bows, and the general attitude of each boat. The Hann 50 is running level throughout the series. There is no pounding on the back side of any wave. One boat climbs up the wave, and pivots over the top with a lot of air under the bow. Beyond the benefit of waterline length, notice how the Hann 50 goes through each wave. This level of performance is not an accident. Good design and good construction will deliver the great offshore performance you seek in a family or fishing tournament level boat. For government agencies, you gain high performance and economic operating efficiency.
